We loved our time together; we had planned activities together and tonnes of unplanned unplugged time too. Anthea, Ryan, Olga, Nick … the whole crew made sure we were having the best possible family retreat experience, from age 10 to age 77.   • "The little Casita is so beautiful and so comfortable from the outside shower to the hammock on the deck. sunrise in the morning was the perfect way to start my day. Also, the yoga instructor Raphaela, incredible mama Tara, the "witch" a beautiful spirit and a great way to spend an hour on their gorgeous yoga deck.   • "Attended a January Yoga retreat at Catalina's Hideaway and it was wonderful. Owners, Anthea, Ryan and their talented staff are warm and welcoming, and the property is one-of-a-kind!! Room was oceanfront, (love the outdoor tub and shower!!) amenities are beautiful, the yoga platform is incredible, and our excursions were well curated, and thoughtful. Meals were outstanding, one of the best parts, as well as the wonderful Panama climate and the magical hospitality. Bravo, can't wait to return!!!"

  • "A little outside of town (15 min drive) is no issue as the new road makes the drive comfortable. the remoteness adds to the memorable vibe as all sorts of birds fly over your head when visiting the beach in the morning. lots of additional facilities like yoga, supping, star gazing, etc. make this the perfect wellness getaway."

We couldn't find the place we were looking for. So we built it.

What began as a dream of a different kind of life eventually became Catalina's Hideaway—a family-owned hotel shaped by years of travel, a love of nature, and the belief that hospitality should always feel personal.
